Wayne Lawerence Conner was born January 20, 1948 in Hazel Park, Michigan to George and Thelma Conner. He passed away on November 28, 2010 in his sleep. Wayne attended Kimber High School, and received his Bachelors Degree in Engineering from Wayne State University. He was a Mechanical Engineer and worked at Ejay Filtration, Inc. for seven years. All his working career was as a mechanical engineer in the filter busness for military, aerospace, defense, and technology. Reading especially history, was an important part of his life. His wife Beverly of 40 years and daughter Amanda were his main concern. He was beloved for His humor, kindness, and being “such a nice man”. He lived in Harbor City, California for 15 years. Wayne loved westerns eseecially John Wayne and he loved comedy. We will miss him more than words can express. Wayne is survived by his wife Beverly, and daughter Amanda, and mother Thelma Conner, sister Pamela Mayhew, brother Ray Conner(Pam), his nephew Geoff Nowak, Chris Level and Todd Conner, and nieces Jennifer Nowak, Jill Mayhew, Megan Conner, and Kim Conner, his brother-in-law Mark Motowski, and sister-in-law Jan Nowak, and Marian Motowski. Wayne was a blessing to all who knew him and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. God bless him and may he rest in peace. Please send any donations to Mrs. Beverly A. Conner c/o A.M. Gamby Funeral Home. Sevices will be held at 7:00pm January 20, 2011 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church 25511 Eshelman Ave., Lomita, California.
