Riedl, Viola, 87 of Torrance, passed away February 6, 2012. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church, in Lomita, CA and St. Joseph Church in Sequim, WA. Viola was Vice-President of the South Bay Chapter Polish Women’s Alliance, Chairman of the Cancer Society Harbor City, 1966, Girl Scout leader and member of the P.T.A. She was also active in the Sequim Praire Garden Club, Sequin Senior Center, Sequim Singers, and Daughters of Rebekah Lodge. Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, and dancing. Viola was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, James, and Anthony; and three sisters, Anne Theresa, and Florence. She is survived by her loving children, Evelyn Knisely, Herman (Pete) Brenner, and Florence Aleman; grandchildren, Elaine, Lisa and Peter; great-grandchildren, Jimmy, John, Jessica and Peter; sisters, Antoinette Paterra and Margie Guerreso. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. followed by service on Friday, February 10, 2012 1:30 p.m. both at A. M. Gamby Funeral Home, Lomita, CA. Interment will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. A. M. Gamby Funeral Home directing.
