On April 26, 1965, Tzena Jacinta ‘Jackie’ Webb came prematurely into the world, Jackie was spunky, so despite the odds, she survived. That spunk served her well, growing up the youngest of 6 siblings. Jackie was born, and spent part of her childhood, in Ridgecrest, California. She moved with her family to Los Angeles, where she graduated from Canoga Park High School. After high school, Jackie briefly attended California State University at Los Angeles, before going to work for Transamerica. Jackie went on to spend 18 years working as a 9-1-1 dispatcher for the City of Los Angeles. Jackie took pride in her job and her skill as a PSR for the LAPD. ‘Z’, as she was known at work, enjoyed the many long lasting friendships she made there, especially with Marsha, Teresa and T-Mac. It can be said that Jackie never met a stranger; everyone was a friend and anyone who met her liked her immediately. Jackie cared deeply about her family and friends and would do everything in her power to make sure that the people she cared about were never in need. While Jackie loved her family and friends unconditionally, she was absolutely passionate about Tupac. Jackie was also an avid basketball fan and was a loyal fan of the Lakers. She rarely missed a game and even scheduled her leave around the NBA playoffs, whether or not the Lakers played. Jackie received her Sacraments early in life, confirming her acceptance of Christ in junior high school. She was preceded in death by her brothers Jerome Webb and Cedric Runderson. Jackie is survived by her fiancé, Charles Greenfield; her parents, George and Edna Webb; her brothers Kenneth DeWayne and George Kermit Webb and her sisters Carmen Quinsey & Tanya ‘Weejie’ (Steve) Bradd. Jackie also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to cherish her memory. A debilitating illness forced Jackie to leave the police department and Jackie succumbed to her illness on February 16, 2012. If Jackie had any last words for us, she would probably quote Tupac, saying “Keep ya head up.”
