It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Salvatore Orefice. He passed away peacefully on April 29 th with his family at his side.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Linda (Cory) Orefice, sister Nardine (Ted) Kredo, brother Vince (Sandy) Orefice and his brother Joseph Orefice. In addition, he is survived by nieces, Teresa Ann (George) Bicanek, Denise Marion (Ed) Ayer; Nephew Theodore Joseph (Diane) Kredo; Nieces, Annette Louise (Aldo) Garronini, Lisa Marie(Mike)Casillion, Deborah Jean (David)White; Nephews, Robert John Kredo, and Christopher James (Sheila) Kredo;Nieces, Nicole Vietor, Shannon Marie Orefice, Jessica Marie Orefice, Summer Marie Orefice; Nephew Jason Ryan Orefice; 18, Great Nieces and Nephews.

Raised in Los Angeles Sal graduated from Washington High School. He served in the Army and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. When he returned home he joined several family members working in the Motion Picture Industry, IATSE Local 728. He was a well-respected Chief Lighting Technician who worked on numerous commercials, TV shows and top grossing feature films. Sal loved car clubs, traveling, making music, spending time with his family and friends and his beloved dogs Jax and Danny. He was Uncle Sal to many and called a friend by even more. One of Salís greatest joys was being a Godfather. He will be greatly missed by everyone.

A Rosary will be held May 7 th at Gambyís in Lomita. Visitation is from 5-8pm with the Rosary starting at 7pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 9 th, 10am at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Redondo Beach. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
