Robert Wayne Stuckey – Entered This Life July 15, 1938 ~ Entered Heaven’s Gates August 18, 2011 Robert, “Bob” was born and grew up in Evansville, Indiana and graduated Benjamin Bosse High School in 1959. He worked for Whirlpool until he moved to southern California in the early seventies. As a youth he was a Boy Scout and stayed in the Scouts throughout his childhood and growing up years. Bob worked for TransEquip for ten years in the “Seventies”. He spent the next 24 years as a Mechanical Designer for Honeywell formerly Allied Signal/Garrett Automotive. He retired from Honeywell in 2005. Bob loved collecting books especially bibles. He studied the Revolutionary War and the history of the birth of our nation and the founding fathers. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and a strong defender of the Second Amendment and the right to bear arms. He loved art, and illustrated sketches of the Revolutionary War soldier in their various uniforms for a book authored by an aunt. He was a true patriot. He loved modern architecture, especially Frank Lloyd Wright. He believed the Ten Commandments should be posted on the walls of every public institution. Bob completed two years in Cottonwood Christian Center’s school of ministries. He always looked for and saw the good in everyone. He was a “dreamer” and a lover of books; learning; art, architecture; his nation; and God’s Word and always had a bible with him; his greatest love was Jesus Christ. Bob received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior as a boy of eight. He was a member of East Side Baptist Church, Evansville, Indiana for many years. He and his wife attended Coast Christian Fellowship in Torrance, California. He is rejoicing in heaven for all eternity. He is survived by his wife Millie Johnson-Stuckey; a brother, Tom (Brenda) Stuckey in Atlanta, Georgia; two stepsons, Anthony & Jeff Ogg of California and a step grandson, Brandon Ogg of California. He will be laid to rest in Park Lawn Cemetery, Evansville, Indiana. Graveside service by Pastor Bill Kellough, Mill Road Baptist Church, Evansville, Indiana. A. M. Gamby in charge of local arrangements. Local services are Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Coast Christian Fellowship Church, Torrance.
