Richard was born in San Pedro to Evelyn and Phillip Pearson in May of 1934. He was an electrical contractor for 40+ years in Lomita. Many will remember Dick as a bowler, a fisherman, apilot, or an artist. Some remember him as a diver, kiwanas member, desert motorcycle racer, RV traveler, or inventor. Everyone who knew him will remember his jokes and his smile. He was truely a friend to everyone met. Dick is survived by his wife of 55 years, Virginia, his daughters Julee Justice of Lomita, Tracy Pearson of Mission Viejo, and Jennifer Dick of Bakersfield, and his 5 grandchildren Matthew Green, Stephanie Popiel, Sarina Moretti, Joshua Dick and Melissa Dick. Services will be held at Gamby’s in Lomita on Saturday, April 9 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to American Diabetes Association or the American Red Cross.
