Norma (72) returned to our Lord on Friday August 3, 2012 at Torrance Memorial Hospital, Torrance, California. Norma was born in the Panama Canal Zone, Panama on July 5, 1940. Her parents were Earl J. Reida and M. Carmen de Boza. Norma had resided in Torrance since 1966 and Lomita since 1987. Norma married Donald Heimerman on May 9, 1961 in Wichita Kansas and was later divorced. Norma attended schools in Wichita Kansas at the Sacred Heart Academy and St. Francis School of Nursing. Norma was a Registered Nurse at Kaiser in Harbor City, California and after her retirement she worked as a Real Estate Agent and Financial Planner at Harned Realty in Lomita California. Norma was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Lomita California. She was a member of the Bible Study Group, St. Catherine Court of the Catholic Daughters of the America’s, and member of the Walteria Senior’s. Norma enjoyed playing all types of card games, puzzles, reading and traveling. Norma is survived by her son Gregory J. (Sandra) Heimerman, Millville, Minnesota, grandson: Ralphael, Phoenix, Arizona and granddaughter: Myra Claire Smith, great-grandsons, Andrew, Patrick and Jonathan, Millville; Sisters: Angelita (Rod) Quincy, Willow Alaska and Wichita, Joy L Mies, Harbor City and Wichita, and Sohnia F. Reida, Torrance; goddaughter and niece, Dana M. (Anthony) Salinas Wichita and godson and nephew, Roger A. (Nora) Mies Lomita; aunt Gloria de Boza of Baldwin Park with cousins in Costa Rica. Norma was preceded in death by both parents, brother-in-laws, Anthony Gonzales and Dennis Mies. The Rosary will be at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church (Eshelman and 255th St, Lomita California Tuesday, August 14th, 2012 at 9:30 with the Memorial Mass at 10:00. A Gathering to Celebrate Norma’s life will follow in Haggerty Hall. Memorial Mass in Wichita and interment will be at a later date in Harper Kansas. Funeral arrangements are with Gamby Funeral Home in Lomita.
