Lorraine A. (Jeffery) Haller July 13, 1925 – November 3, 2012 Lorraine A. (Jeffery) Haller was born in Scotia, CA on July 13, 1925 to Wilfred and Frances (Rider) Jeffery. In 1927, they returned to Lomita, CA, and their family went on to welcome her loving brothers William (Bill) and Gerald (Jerry). In 1951, Lorraine married Robert A. (Pete) Haller, and they built their home in Harbor City where they raised their five children, Carol Grove, Joy Waugh (Ron), Jeff Haller (Betty), Carla Fields (Ray), and Kathy Murray. Lorraine was an adored “Meme” to her grandchildren, Leigh-Ann Eichelkraut, Stacie Tully (Brian), Lindsay Heitmeyer, Adam, Grant and Derek Haller, Kevin and Ashley Murray, Jack Fields (Katti) and Ronda Cordova (Miguel) and to her great-grandchildren, Zachary, Christian, Aden, Addison, Blake, Averie, Cole and “Mac”. In addition to her children and grandchildren, Lorraine is also survived by her brother Jerry Jeffery (Barbara), sisters-in-law Elna Linderman and Donna Jeffery, her nieces and nephews, Barbara Peeters, Pamela Freemon, Mark, Terry, Scott and Jerry Jeffery, as well as many dear cousins and extended family. She was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband Pete, and brother Bill. Lorraine has always felt very blessed to have maintained so many lifelong friendships that she established during her school years, as well as those that she made during her 33 year career in the Lakeside Pharmacy at Kaiser Permanente in Harbor City. She had many hobbies, including traveling, reading, knitting and crocheting, but her favorite thing to do was to be surrounded by family and friends. Her home was often the gathering place, especially on holidays, where each was made extra special by her loving touch. Our “Meme” will be fondly remembered with love and greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 4-8pm at A.M. Gamby Funeral Home, 25001 Narbonne Ave., Lomita, CA 90717. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 12, 2012, at 10am at the San Pedro United Methodist Church, 580 West 6th Street, San Pedro, CA 90731. A lunch reception will be held at Michael’s Tuscany Room, 470 West 7th Street, San Pedro, CA 90731 immediately following the service. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park at 3:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Lorraine’s memory to either the San Pedro United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or a charity of your choice.
