On June 16, Linda Adkins Knott, 58 years old, native of California and long-time resident of the South Bay, passed peacefully in her home surrounded by family. After a brief but difficult struggle with pancreatic cancer, Linda went home to be with our Lord. Linda was a loving wife to Len; a wonderful mother to Mike & daughter-in-law Christy, Matt & daughter-in-law Jill, Steven and Brittany; an amazing grandmother to Zack, Ava, Kenna, Lexi & Kaylee; a devoted daughter to Bill & Roberta Adkins; a caring sister to Karen & brother-in-law Jim Louder, and Debbie & brother-in-law Bill Messenger; and a compassionate aunt to Lindsey, Tracy, Jeff, Nick, Craig & Allie. Linda’s faith has been the most important and driving factor in her life. She was a prayer warrior – always praying for family, friends and those she knew were struggling. Jesus was the ultimate love of her life, making her relationships with her family & friends here on earth that much more special. Her nurturing, kind and generous nature was evident to those around her in everything she did. She flourished around family and friends. She made an impact on the lives of those she knew here on earth, and will continue to do so as an angel watching over us in heaven. The family has appreciated all the overwhelming support during the past three months. Linda would find comfort in knowing that in lieu of flowers, any expression of condolence be directed to the Jonsson Cancer Center at UCLA (www.cancer.ucla.edu/) for pancreatic cancer research.
