Lila Dischner, beloved mother and grandmother was born on December 30, 1936 in a Naval Hospital in San Diego, California and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the age of 75 in Lake Elsinore, California. As a strong willed and ornery woman Lila bravely fought pancreatic cancer for 5 months. The Lord decided it was her time and she flew to heaven to be with her beloved Husband, Don Dischner. God bless her. Lila had been a longtime resident of Torrance and Lomita, California. Lila was a Real Estate Agent in the Southbay for 30 years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, collecting antiques/collectibles, spin poker, and spending time with her grandchildren. Lila’s passion was helping others and she had been a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Lila will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family. She was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, matriarch of the family, and an inspiration to all who shared her life. She will be most remembered by her friends for having a huge and giving heart, and spunky personality. She will be forever in our hearts. Lila is survived by her son, Joseph Dischner, and her two daughters, Lisa Pauletti, and Tracy Thompson: Son in-law, Todd Pauletti along with her 3 grandchildren, Jenna Napora, Giuseppe Pauletti, and Luke Thompson. Many nephews, Richard Hendricks, Steven Hendricks, David Hendricks, Ralph Hendricks, Todd Hendricks and her Niece Cheryle Lammert and husband John Lammert will also miss their Auntie Lila. A Memorial Service will be held at A.M. Gamby Funeral Home on Saturday November 3, 2012 at 1pm Until we meet again Mom! We love you! In lieu of flowers, please make donations to American Cancer Society *Fight Against Pancreas Cancer*
