John Frank Jaramillo, “John J.” a resident of Torrance, CA was born on June 24, 1933 in Belen, New Mexico and passed away on June 27, 2013 in Torrance, CA. He was a loving, generous Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather and Friend. John was married to “His Bride” Carol Jaramillo, who was also born in Belen, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Pearl Jaramillo; sister, Esther J. Castillo; and brother Edwin Jaramillo. John is survived by his wife, Carol; son, John Jaramillo of Paramount, CA; daughters, Lori Martinovich of Alamo, CA., Lisa (Guy) Poulin of Torrance, CA., and Tricia Jaramillo of Lomita, CA. He is also survived by brother, Jim (Rita) Jaramillo of Thousand Oaks, CA; sister, Lillian Caron of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Earl (Bobbi) Jaramillo of Saginaw, MI; sister, Geraldine (Ruben) Garcia of Albuquerque, NM. 5, grandchildren, Mathias Jamora of Washington D.C., Nicholas Jamora of Ashland, OR., Emerson Poulin of Torrance, CA., Teagan and Paris Martinovich of Alamo, CA. John was a Combat Engineer for the U. S. Army in 1954. After his military service ended John married Carol Seery and moved to California where he began a career in the Grinding Business where he successfully started his own business in 1981 called Paramount Grinding Inc. He retired in 2009 after being active over the years in coaching Little League, and AYSO soccer teams. He was a lifelong member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Lomita, CA and was involved with the Men’s Holy Name Society and volunteered “working for the Lord” helping out with Christian services. There was nothing he loved more than a good game of golf or a Dodger fame. John will be remembered as a man who took care of all those around him from family and friends to those in need. He was a gentle giant with a kind heart who will be missed by many people who loved and knew him. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Lomita. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Diabetes Association.
