“Gary”

Gary, a long time resident of Torrance, died peacefully in his home on Sunday, October 30, 2016 of natural causes.

Gary was born on March 6th 1933 in Los Angeles.  He grew up in Gardena, graduated from Gardena High School, and continued on at El Camino College. He married his sweetheart, Betty in 1954 and they had 4 children, Cathy, Greg, Bob and Lisa.  Gary worked as a union sheet metal worker, and was quite proud of his “duct work” throughout Los Angeles and California.  He was an avid USC  fan since childhood, and he and Betty travelled the country with close friends to cheer the Trojans on to victory.  He enjoyed travel, coin collecting, reading, crossword puzzles, Sudoku, watching sports, and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. And believe it or not, he even enjoyed yard work!  He was an honorable, loving and dedicated husband, father, and friend. He is preceded in death by his son, Greg.  He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty, his son, Bob and his wife Denise, his daughters Cathy and her husband Robby, and Lisa and her husband Tim.  He also leaves behind 12 grandkids, and 5 great grandkids.

Gary/Dad/Papa…we miss you, we love you.
