Ethel May Morlan was born on May 13, 1919 in Adel, Oklahoma and passed away on August 28, 2011 in Ridgecrest, California. She worked for Hughes Aircraft for 32 years as an Etched Air Technician. Ethel was a member of the Alpha Star Eastern Star, Ladies of the Oriental Shrine, Gethesmane White Shrine of Jerusalem, Order of the Amaranth, Mokattan Temple-Daughters of the Nile, and the Honored Ladies. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Everett; and is survived by her sisters, Lillie Archer and Lucille Thornton. She is also survived by 5 nephews and 6 nieces. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 9, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. followed by Funeral Services on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. both at A. M. Gamby Funeral Home, Lomita, California. Interment will follow at Pacific Crest Cemetery, Redondo Beach, California. In lieu of flowers family suggests donations be made to your favorite charity in Ethel’s memory. A. M. Gamby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
