Early Sunday morning, on Fatherís Day,

June 21st, ìDavyî, as he was known to

his loved ones, was called home to his

Heavenly Father, passing away peacefully

at his home in Lomita. Davy was born in El Paso, Texas on

September 21, 1930. A resident of Lomita since 1955, he served

on the Lomita Parks and Recreation Commission and was an

active member of the Holy Name Society for over 40 years. A

loving husband, father and grandfather, he was 84 when he

passed. He is survived by Katherine, his wife of 63 years, his sons

Steve and Jim, and two grandchildren. A Rosary will be held in his

honor at St. Margaret Mary Church in Lomita on Monday, June

29th at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday morning,

June 30th at 11 a.m., also at St. Margaret Mary. Interment will be

in Green Hills Memorial Park immediately after the service, with a

reception to follow at the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family

gratefully encourages donations to the Alzheimerís Association

(alz.org). Davy, you are forever in our hearts, and forever will be

missed.
