BEATRICE MARIE MURRAY 5/10/17-12/15/2010 Beatrice, “Bea,” Murray was born in Detroit, Michigan to Ruth (Hynes) Danaher and Frank B. Danaher. She has three sisters, Virginia (D), Jeannette (D), Eileen and one brother, Jack (D). In 1920 the Danaher’s moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana. Bea attended the private Catholic Girl’s Academy and later worked as the Executive Assistant to Mr. Stan Fishman, CEO and Chairman of Fishman’s Department Stores In 1941 she married James F. Murray, “Jim,” of Fort Wayne. Jim and Bea moved to Springfield, Ohio where Jim was a civilian, employed by the U.S. Air Force at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Together they built their dream home, Bea as co-General Contractor watching Jim’s back. She was a busy homemaker and mother, active in the Springfield Junior League and the guilds of St. Theresa Catholic Church. In 1959, Jim moved the family to California. After several years in Westchester, they settled in Rancho Palos Verdes in 1964. Jim passed away in 1994. Beatrice moved to Orange County in 2001 to be near her family, until she passed away. She was 93. Beatrice is survived by her two daughters: Cheryl and her husband Tom Griffin, and Kitti and her husband, Fred Beato, Bea’s granddaughters Lisa Griffin, Lauri Griffin Cameron, Melissa Griffin Perdue and her great grandchildren Tom and Taylor Cameron, Alex Le Blanc, Tim, Michael and Steve Perdue. Fred Beato’s son, Brandon, his daughter Jennifer Beato Miller, and Kitti and Fred’s granddaughter, Riley Claire Miller. Her sister, Eileen Hess of Redlands and her nieces and nephews, Sally Hess Mutter, David and Tom Hess. Also, her brother-in-law, Robert Davies, her niece, Claudia Arnold and her husband, Steve Arnold, M.D. and their boys Jon, Ben and Jamie of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Fisher Catholic Church in Palos Verdes, and she will be put to rest next to her husband, Jim, at Green Hills Cemetery in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. May she rest in peace in the shelter of our Blessed Savior until we are joined again in eternity. In our hearts forever, Mom.
