Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather Andrew “Jack” Waters passed away on March 22, 2009 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jack served overseas in post-war Japan and the Korean War aboard the USS Hector. After leaving the Navy and a short time working at Ford’s Terminal Island manufacturing facility, Jack joined the Los Angeles Fire Department in 1959 where he eventually achieved the rank of engineer. Jack served the people of Los Angeles until 1990 when he retired. Jack was an avid mechanic, and enjoyed restoring old cars with his sons. Jack’s family was the focus of his life and the family enjoyed many trips across the country to visit Jack’s family in Georgia and Maxine’s family in Arkansas and Oklahoma, and of course hitting every National Park they could. Jack has now joined Maxine, his beloved wife of 59 years, and is survived by her children Charlie, John, Greg, and Carol, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
