Bud was born on October 7, 1916 in Wisconsin where he spent his early years along the Mississippi River near Alma. He married the love of his life, Dorothy Hager, on November 24, 1938. They moved to Southern California with two infant sons in 1941 to join the war effort. Bud was employed by Lockheed Aviation in Burbank during the war. He moved to Northrop Aviation in Hawthorne after the war to start a long career as an electrical engineer. Following his retirement, Bud and Dot moved to Canyon Lake where they were among the earliest residents. Bud’s life interests included boating, water skiing, dancing, gardening, cooking, playing bridge, and video taping. Over the years he volunteered as a Boy Scout Leader, fire fighter, and various committees in Canyon Lake dedicated to the improvement. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 22 at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes at 9 AM followed by a reception.
