Since our inception in 1936, we have always been family-owned and locally operated. A.M. Gamby Funeral Home has a history of personal service with deep roots in the South Bay Area community.
80 years ago, Albert Monroe Gamby and his wife Evabell opened the first mortuary in Lomita. While the facility has been remodeled over the decades, A.M. Gamby Funeral Home still operates out of this historic location.
After Albert’s death, his wife, along with the help of Donn and Irene McKnight, carried on the family business until their retirement.
In 2006, Jim Larkin purchased the funeral home promising to continue the family-owned tradition.
Over the last century, we have never compromised on our commitment to professionalism, integrity and fairness. We are proud to serve people of all cultures and religions.
A.M. Gamby Funeral Home delivers thoughtful, personalized tributes that exceed expectations while respecting your budget.
